Data in the EU.
Where your data and your customers' data is stored, who can access it and how to report a security issue.
Stored in the EU
The database, files and backups of the portal, your dashboard and your site are stored in the EU (Frankfurt and Ireland). Client sites are served quickly worldwide from Cloudflare, but the data itself stays in EU storage.
Outside the EU
Only for services you switch on yourself (text messages, AI answers, video, Google integrations) does data go to a US company, always under EU standard contractual clauses. The list is at backdne.com/subprocessors.
Who has access
You and your team, with the rights you grant. Backdne only looks in for support or at your request, read-only by default and always in your log. Sign in with a code by email, a passkey, a password or your own organisation's SSO (OIDC or SAML).
Agreements
You sign the data processing agreement (backdne.com/dpa) in your dashboard under Settings; the signed text is stored with a fingerprint (SHA-256). Availability and credits are in the SLA (backdne.com/sla).
Report a security issue
Found something wrong? Email the address in backdne.com/.well-known/security.txt with what you saw and how to reproduce it. We reply within 2 working days, ask you not to publish it until it is fixed, and take no legal action against good-faith reporters.
